The new founded Delegation in Santiago de Cuba, condemns aggression against Rodiles
Nov. 15th, in the opening ceremony of a new delegation of Cuba Independiente y Democratica (CID) in Santiago de Cuba, the offensive that the dictatorship has launched against the democratic opposition, was condemned. The meeting became an act of solidarity towards Antonio González Rodiles, director of “State of SATS”, and of writer and blogger Angel Santiesteban, and the other compatriots who were assaulted for demanding Rodiles’s release.
The elected delegate, Guillermo Espinoza Rodríguez, stated that the regime is against the Cuban people and the younger generation who are not afraid anymore. That young people are convinced that their country needs to be rescued from the clutches of a privileged minority that seeks to justify their abuses and their privileges with hypocritical revolutionary rhetoric. The leaders of the delegation were chosen from a group of young people committed to the project and the platform of the organization as a fundamental basis for popular contact.
They are: delegate Guillermo Espinosa Rodríguez; vice delegate Alberto Brozon Avila; secretary Adelaida Aldana Quesada; public relations Jesus Milanes Valcarcel; treasurer Luis Angel Ferrer; in charge of women Yoannia Naples Quiñones; attention to political prisoners Tania Espinoza Rodríguez.
